Christa Bell – In her TEDx performance, Christa Bell kicks off the day with a heavy dose of INSPIRATION, providing a first hand experience of how leadership can be re-imagined to reflect the needs of women and society.
Christa Bell is an award-winning feminist spoken-word poetry and theater artist. She is a National Poetry Slam Champion and her work, featured on NPR and afterellen.com, is concerned with the feminine embodiment of the divine as well as how women’s spiritual self-esteem impacts their participation in the political processes that govern their lives.
The Athena Center for Leadership Studies at Barnard College was proud to host a diverse and talented line up of speakers who shared their stories, exemplifying it’s Core 10 tenets for re-imagining leadership. http://www.TEDxBarnardCollegeWomen.com
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
